ARMY PORTRAITS

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions I have been asked about my services in the past. I hope you find this information useful!

Q: What size photograph should I email you? What if the quality of the photograph is poor?

A: I can work with any size photograph. Please keep in mind that the larger and higher quality the source, the higher your satisfaction will be with the finished product.

Q: Why don't you offer frames with your portraits?

A: Currently my focus is on providing you with a high quality portrait that you and your loved ones can enjoy for years to come. In order to be able to offer frames I would have to purchase warehouse space in order to accommodate the stock. This is just something I am not willing to do, as it would increase the costs to my customers.

Q: Do you offer a guarantee?

A: Your 100% satisfaction is my goal, regardless of the complexity of the project. Unfortunately, due to the nature of my business I cannot offer partial or full refunds. Because of this, it is imperative that the photo you wish to be converted is of high quality. Please keep in mind that of the numerous portraits I have completed, I have never had a dissatisfied customer.

Q: Why does it take so long for you to ship the finished portrait?

A: One word: Quality. I take my time painting your portrait, and in order to be able to ship your portrait without being damaged, I must allow it to dry for a period of 5 days. During the course of painting your portrait, I take periodic pictures so you can see the progress. I've found that this offers my customers an opportunity to be a part of the process.

Q: Your prices are expensive. Do you take payments?

A: Unfortunately, I cannot perform work on a payment basis. Part of the fee is used to buy supplies, such as the canvas, paints and brushes. These items are very expensive. Packing material and shipping insurance is also figured into the final costs. I think you will find my prices to be very competitive with others performing similar services.

Q: Since it takes so much time to paint a portrait and allow it to dry correctly, how do you manage your work load? I don't want to pay now and have to wait for months for my portrait!

A: I manage my workload very efficiently. Being a military spouse has definitely helped to improve that area of my life! Periodically I will disable the sales page so that it is not possible for someone to book my services until I have met my obligations to my current customers. I understand that this may cause me to lose business, but it's necessary to ensure that my customers are not waiting too long for their portraits.

Q: I don't have a Paypal account. Can I still book your services?

A: Absolutely! Once you have decided on which portrait package you want, you will be taken to the Paypal website to enter your credit card information. You will see an option to purchase a portrait without a Paypal account.

Q: I'm not in the armed forces. Do you work with non-military customers? Can I still have a portrait done?

A: Please feel free to choose a portrait package, but please understand that I give top priority to members of the armed forces and their families. This is by choice. Because of this, your portrait may take longer to be completed. Thank you for understanding.
